- Who We Serve
What's New in New York:
Several new projects spanning several asset classes - including a multifamily tower, hotel, and medical office building - are undergoing construction across Manhattan this year. The skyscrapers will bring new residential, retail, and industrial space to the city's growing skyline. Here's a look at the exciting projects underway in Manhattan’s Upper East Side and Hudson Yards.
22-Story Residential Building Coming to the Upper East Side
A new residential tower is under construction at 300 East 83rd St on the Upper East Side. SLCE Architects designed the superstructure, and Lalezarian Group, a property management and development company, is overseeing its development. Once completed, the 235-ft tall building will include 70 residential units, ground-floor retail space, and a cellar. The units will average 1,203 sq. ft., and the building will total 84,266 sq. ft.
Construction has steadily progressed in recent months, and the superstructure is now rising above many surrounding low-rise buildings in the area. The project is expected to be completed by next fall.
Exterior Work Resumes on Hudson Yards Skyscraper
A 51-story skyscraper located in Hudson Yards is undergoing continued exterior work this month. General contractor, Atria Builders, is now adding finishing touches to the exterior, with floor-to-ceiling windows covering the entirety of the building. The project was delayed due to lacking architectural approval but is now back on track with a potential opening date in 2024.
Once completed, the building will house an upscale hotel designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Group. The hotel will rise 642 feet tall and include 379 guest rooms, a business center, a ballroom, a restaurant, and an outdoor terrace.
Foundations Laid for Medical Office Building on Upper East Side
Foundations have been laid at the site of Extell Development Company's latest project, a 30-story medical office building. Located on the Upper East Side, the building's primary tenant will be The Hospital for Special Surgery, which will operate out of 8 stories. The rest of the building will contain office and retail space on the lower levels. Depending on the pace of construction, 450 Eleventh Avenue could open around the middle of 2024.
