Philadelphia Real Estate Developers Have Diverse Projects in the Works
There are so many great development projects all over Philadelphia and a great variety of projects. Everything from large residential projects to theme parks outside the city to several life sciences projects solidifying Philly as an industry hub.
Development Updates in Philadelphia
Gattuso Development and Drexel University are planning a massive life sciences research and lab building on the campus in University City. This project will be 500,000 square feet and $400 million and will be the largest life sciences facility in the city once completed. This project is very exciting in itself and represents the growth of Philadelphia as a hub for life sciences.
Ground has broken on a multifamily project along the Delaware River developed by the Durst Organization. This project will be 25 stories tall and will have 360 residential units. This project also includes a public park on the north side of the lot.
The Riverwards Group has a 200-unit multifamily project in Kensington. This project was initially planned to be only 147 units – construction on the north side of the site is nearly complete, but their plans for the south side have grown substantially. This project will provide much-needed housing to a desirable neighborhood.
While this project is not actually in Philly, the Adventure Crossing development project in Jackson Township, NJ will certainly be of interest to Philadelphia residents. Led by Cardinale Enterprises, this theme park and lodging complex has had its fourth and final phase of development approved. This project includes sports fields, an Air Dome, 480 apartments, and three hotels, with the most recent phase being a 70-acre indoor waterpark and an outdoor surf lagoon producing more than 500 waves an hour.
