Two Major Mixed-Use Projects Are Coming To Memphis Real Estate Market
Development Updates In Memphis:
Memphis real estate developers are working on several large community developments that will bring new housing and amenities to the area. Two major mixed-use projects will include new hotels, commercial space, multifamily developments, and single-family homes, among other developments. The projects promise to transform Memphis into an even more desirable place for residents and tourists in the coming year.
Dwell at Shelby Farms Project
Investment group Crews Investment Holdings and project manager, Kimley-Horn, are teaming up on the redevelopment of a large property near Shelby Farms Park, one of the area’s most popular neighborhoods. About 71 acres of land will be redeveloped, creating 1,000 new residential units in a market with high housing demand. The project calls for the elimination of certain nearby infrastructure, including a 3,500-foot roadway, and will include three- and four-story apartment buildings, pools, clubhouses, and community areas.
The Legacy at Countrywood
A $400 million mixed-use project at the Colonial Country Club broke ground in December. CCClub Holdings, the property owner, announced plans for the 170-acre development last year. The long sought-after project, called The Legacy, is expected to attract investment to the area and bring in new tax revenue for the city and county.
The Legacy will complement the existing neighborhood and Colonial Country Club and is expected to become a hub of residential life. It will include the construction of apartments, single-family homes, a hotel, a senior living facility, office space, and commercial infrastructure. In total, over 500 single-family homes, 300 senior living units, and 73 acres of apartments and commercial buildings will be constructed. Residents will enjoy access to Colonial Country Club amenities alongside the new developments, such as a pool, tennis courts, a clubhouse, a fitness facility, and a golf course.
