Development Updates in Dallas-Fort Worth:
With several new projects set to kick off in the new year, real estate developers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are taking no time to rest this holiday season. Here’s the scoop:
New Development Coming to Wade Park site in Frisco
Dallas-based developer Streetlights Residential has partnered with JVP Management to bring a $3 billion development to Frisco’s Wade Park site. The development, known as The Mix, will include two hotels, 3 million square feet of housing, 2 million square feet of office space, and 375,000 square feet of retail. Phase One is scheduled to begin later this month and be completed in 2026.
Lincoln Square Redevelopment
Trademark Property Co. is set to move forward with its $150 million redevelopment of Lincoln Square in Arlington. The 46-acre property is located close to Arlington’s entertainment district, a prime spot close to Globe Life Field, Choctaw Stadium, AT&T Stadium, the 888-room Loews Arlington Hotel, and more. Trademark plans to convert the old shopping center into a mixed-use development that combines offices, retail, restaurants, and apartments.
Affordable Housing Project Underway in McKinney
JPI is moving forward with a $107 million affordable housing project in north McKinney. The project, named The Jefferson Verdant, will include 383 units across eight residential buildings. Five of the buildings will offer townhomes, while the remaining three buildings will provide multifamily units. The project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2025.
