Kansas City Real Estate Welcomes Major Multifamily Boom
What’s New in Kansas City:
Several major multifamily projects are progressing in the Kansas City metro area and surrounding regions. The development projects will bring new luxury apartments to the area’s residents in the second half of 2023 and beyond. Here are the development updates:
Apartment Complex Coming to Midtown
NorthPoint Development has started demolition on the former Trinity Lutheran Hospital site to make way for a new $130 million apartment complex. The new development, named ArriveKC, will stand six stories tall and include 373 units. ArriveKC will be the largest apartment complex to date in Midtown.
Merriam Grand Station Lofts Development
Brinkman Constructors recently broke ground on a 361-unit luxury apartment project in the southwest suburb of Kansas City known as Merriam. The Merriam Grand Station Lofts project is being constructed by Drake Development and is part of a $72.5 million Merriam Grand Station project that includes retail, residential, and public gathering space. Once completed, the apartment project will yield two buildings and occupy a site that has been vacant for a decade. The project is set for completion in 2025.
Mixed-Use Community in Northland
Oddo Development plans to build a new mixed-use community in Kansas City’s Northland. The development will consist of roughly 350 apartments and a commercial complex. The commercial district will target hospitality, dining, and entertainment. Oddo has plans to break ground in the fall on the commercial section, with apartment construction following in 2024.
