Development Updates in Houston:
Houston’s rapid population growth in recent years has generated strong demand for diverse housing options across the metro area. This year, residential developers are seizing opportunities to meet housing demand with several projects ranging from large-scale communities to high-end luxury homes. Here's a look at a few of the residential projects that will add to Houston’s dynamic real estate landscape this year and beyond.
Planned 838-Home Community in Waller County
Houston-based developer Gamal Enterprises recently purchased 282 acres of land between Brookshire and Waller to construct an 838-home residential community. The project will add to Gamal’s extensive residential portfolio as the firm’s third master-planned development in Waller County. Alongside hundreds of new homes, it will include the construction of accompanying commercial space and various amenities, such as walking trails and a recreation center.
Oakwood Estates Project Announced by Ashton Gray
Sugar Land-based developer, Ashton Gray Development, has announced plans to add a 171-acre residential development to Waller County. The community, named Oakwood Estates, will feature 176 lots, many of which are nearly completed, and amenities such as a recreation center, pool, park, and convenient walking access to Waller High School. Once completed, it is expected to become a desirable location for families to call home, thanks to its proximity to schools and major highways.
