    Industrial Mega-Site North of Kansas City Airport

    Industrial real estate development company, Hunt Midwest, has plans to develop nearly 20 million sq. ft. of Class ‘A’ industrial buildings north of Kansas City International Airport. In partnership with the Port Authority of Kansas City, the development is expected to generate billions in private investment. Construction on the project will begin as soon as June 2023 and will be completed in August of 2025.

    Southwest LaVilla Multifamily Project in Planning

    Kansas-City based developer, Garrison Companies, is planning to build a seven-story, 275-unit multifamily project in Southwest LaVilla. The project, called McCoys Landing, will feature five stories of residential units and a two-story parking garage. It will also offer various amenities, including a pool, bicycle shop, recreational space, and more.

    Demolition to Dining: New Restaurant Complex Coming Soon

    Last week, the Kansas City Council approved a development agreement for a three-story restaurant building, Cocina47, from Kansas-based developer Drake Development. The restaurant will replace an existing church, which Drake Development plans to demolish later this year. Construction will begin soon after, and restaurants in the new building are anticipated to begin opening as early as the first quarter of 2025.
