Colorado Housing Market News: Affordable and Multifamily Development
What’s New in Colorado:
Colorado real estate developers are pushing forward on two exciting residential projects this summer, including a multifamily community in Erie and an affordable housing complex in Aurora. The developments will add new transit-oriented housing to their communities and boost the local multifamily market. Here are the latest details on these upcoming projects:
Plans Announced for Multifamily Community in Erie
A 4.5-acre site was recently purchased by Denver-based real estate development and investment firm Forum Investment Group and co-general partner Mass Equities Inc. Together, they plan to develop a six-building, 206-unit market-rate community - with units ranging from studios to two-bedrooms - in the Denver submarket of Erie, Colorado. The community will feature indoor and outdoor amenities such as an outdoor pool and spa, outdoor grilling and entertainment areas, a fully-equipped fitness studio, a clubroom lounge, a pet spa, and ample shared meeting and work-from-home pods for residents. It has a projected completion date of 2026.
Funding Secured for Affordable Housing Complex in Aurora
$43.1 million has been secured by mortgage lender, Bellwether Enterprise, for the construction of a four-story affordable housing complex in Aurora. The complex, named 15 Sable Apartments, will be developed by DBG Properties and Featherstone Development and serve as a walkable, transit-oriented community for residents.
