Austin is one of the most exciting cities in the country for real estate developers. Currently, there is a race to the sky with several massive projects aiming to be among the tallest in Austin.

The 98 Red River project will be Austin's first “supertall” building which will reach a height of over 1,022 feet. The building permits have reportedly been approved by the city and are finalizing details such as a construction loan. This $520 million project is being developed by Lincoln Property Company and Kairoi Residential and will include a hotel, office space, retail space, and 332 residences.

hotel, which is being developed by the Texas division of the Vancouver developer, Intracorp, will be a 65-story, 750 feet high rise. Located less than a block from the Austin Convention Center, the Conrad will bring 136 residences and 330 hotel rooms to the city.

The Sixth and Guadalupe project, which is currently under construction, will be 875 feet tall, making it the tallest building in Austin when it’s completed. This tower is also being developed by Lincoln Property Company and Kairoi Residential and will include 349 residences as well as parking, retail, and office space within the building’s 66 floors.

Cielo Property Group plans to break ground this summer on their “Perennial” project, a 46 story office tower in downtown Austin. The development has been approved and they expect completion to be in 2025.
