Local developers, including Bluestone Brothers and Riewald Development, share a vision for bringing momentum to developing communities throughout the greater downtown Columbus area. Upcoming developments by the teams include two mixed use development projects on Rich and Spring Street. Here's a look into the recently proposed mixed use developments coming to the Columbus, Ohio Real Estate Market: 

Bluestone Brothers Proposes New Mixed-Use Development on Rich Street

Bluestone Brothers, a Columbus-based development team, recently proposed a mixed-use development in Ohio's downtown Columbus area. The Estrella, nestled on Rich Street, will be home to a mix of studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments with amenities such as a rooftop restaurant and a grocery store on the ground floor. Replacing four buildings dating back to the 1920s, Stanley Lan, CEO of Bluestone Brothers, describes the Estrella development as "connecting the future to the past." The project received positive feedback from the Downtown Columbus Commission. The timeline for project completion has yet to be revealed.

Columbus' Industrial District Plans for New Mixed-Use Development

Riewald Development, a new development firm in the Columbus area spearheaded by local development veteran Jon Riewald, has plans to develop a 7-story, 30,000-square-foot building atop surface parking lots on Spring Street. The building will include 132 residential units, 112 internal parking spots, and over 8,000 square feet devoted to residential amenities, including co-working and fitness spaces. Riewald mentioned that the project will be pedestrian-friendly and well-suited for tenants who work from home. The project is currently pending its certificate of appropriateness from the Downtown Columbus Commission.
