New York-based developer Bazbaz Development is moving forward on a mixed-use project in Wynwood, Miami. The project will include two buildings with 229 apartments, office space, retail space, and parking. Residential and retail projects like this continue to shape Wynwood, formerly an industrial warehouse district, into an arts-centric neighborhood.
Redevelopment of St. Petersburg’s Tropicana Field
Four developers have recently applied to redevelop St. Petersburg’s Tropicana Field and its surrounding site. The historical location is said to be a vital part of St. Petersburg, and Mayor Welch has emphasized that any redevelopment project must incorporate affordable and workforce housing in its plans. The deadline for proposals was December 2nd, and a final decision will be announced by the end of January 2023.
Design Plans Released for One-Tampa Residential Building
Palm Beach-based Kolter Urban is moving forward with development plans for a 56-story tower called One Tampa, arranged to be the tallest residential building on Florida’s west coast. The tower has been redesigned to pay homage to the Tarr Furniture Building built in 1921. Construction is expected to begin in 2023.
